How it works
From payment to your takers in four steps
-
1
Choose your hours
From 1 to 4 encoding hours, from €68 excl. VAT, paid once by card. Your private console link arrives by email; no account needed.
-
2
Pick your versions
Choose where to encode, describe the feed you send, then the versions and the takers of each.
-
3
Send your feed
Start encoding: your SRT input address appears. Point your encoder at it, and your takers get their versions.
-
4
Test as you need
Check every decoder, run a soak test, cover a match day. When you are convinced, your setup becomes your contract.
What's included
Everything to prove it on your decoders
- Your own SRT input, encoded by AWS Elemental MediaLive next to it
- Up to 3 versions: 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576i, 480i, HEVC 1080p, mobile 360p or audio only
- Up to 3 takers per version, 6 in all: the taker pulls, or we push to their address
- The hours count only while encoding runs; start and stop it yourself
- Encoding stops on its own after 10 minutes without a feed, so no hours are lost
- Questions go to our engineers from your console
- Nothing to cancel: it ends on its own, and there is no subscription
Your feed must be progressive (2160p, 1080p, 720p, 576p or 480p); the versions can be progressive or interlaced. Need 4K, MPEG-2, two regions or more versions? That is a contract — see the price of your setup.

Questions
The proof of concept, explained
What is the transcoding proof of concept?
A paid trial of SRT Cloud transcoding on your own feed: one input, up to 3 versions and up to 6 SRT copies to your takers, for 1 to 4 encoding hours used within 7 days. One payment, no subscription.
How is it priced?
A one-off setup of €49 plus €19 per encoding hour, excl. VAT: 1 h €68, 2 h €87, 3 h €106, 4 h €125. Need more hours? Our team can offer a longer proof of concept.
Why is there sometimes a waiting list?
Every proof of concept gets an encoder of its own and our engineers’ attention, so we keep the number of places small. When they are all in use, leave your email: the first free place is held for you, in the order people joined.
When do the hours count?
Only while encoding runs. You start and stop it in your console. After 10 minutes without a feed it stops on its own, so a dead feed does not use your hours.
What happens at the end?
Encoding stops when your hours are used or the 7 days are over, whichever comes first. Nothing more is charged and there is nothing to cancel. Your setup stays in the console for 30 days so it can become your contract setup.
Can the feed I send be interlaced?
Your feed must be progressive: 2160p, 1080p, 720p, 576p or 480p. The versions can be progressive or interlaced, for example 1080i25 or 576i25 for satellite.
Why are 4K and MPEG-2 not included?
The proof of concept covers HD and SD in H.264 and HEVC 1080p. 4K, MPEG-2 for legacy satellite, dual-region encoding and more versions are part of a contract.
Who can buy it?
Businesses: broadcasters, telcos, satellite and cable operators, production companies. Use your company email; there is one proof of concept per company a year.
Is the fee refundable?
No. The proof of concept is a one-off purchase of a fixed allowance; unused hours or days are not carried over, credited or paid out.
