The stakes
A dropped feed is dropped reach.
Picture a satellite feed dropping mid-broadcast. You need your signal back out to every affiliate, telco and operator immediately. Rebuilding routes by hand — and calling each partner — costs the minutes you don't have. Instant Fallback removes that scramble.
How Instant Fallback works
Preconfigured. One action. Everyone reconnected.
-
1
Preconfigure standby outputs
Set up one input and every fallback output you might need — one per destination — sitting ready on standby. No live cost until you launch.
-
2
Launch in one action
When a feed drops, hit launch on the dashboard — or just tell your AI agent to go. Every standby output goes live together in minutes.
-
3
Contacts connected instantly
Everyone on your preset contact list is emailed exactly where and how to pull the feed — so partners reconnect without a phone tree.

Questions
Instant Fallback, explained
What is SRT Cloud Enterprise Instant Fallback?
It is distribution disaster recovery for live feeds. You preconfigure one input and all the standby SRT outputs you might need, sitting ready. When a feed drops, you launch them all in one action — from the dashboard or by asking your AI agent — and your signal is back out to every destination in minutes.
How is this different from hitless or path failover?
Hitless/path failover (SMPTE 2022-7-style) protects a single input across redundant network paths. Instant Fallback protects the other side: distribution. When your primary path or satellite drops, it re-establishes the feed to dozens or hundreds of downstream takers at once — the mass output recovery that input redundancy alone does not solve.
How many destinations can I bring back at once?
Dozens to hundreds. You preconfigure a standby output per destination, then launch them together in a single action. Each is a bit-exact 1:1 copy of your source — no transcoding.
Do my contacts get their connection details automatically?
Yes. Everyone on your preset contact list is connected instantly and emailed exactly where and how to pull the feed — so partners reconnect without a phone tree during an outage.
Can an AI agent launch the fallback?
Yes. As with the rest of SRT Cloud, you can launch standby outputs by asking your connected AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) — or with one click in the dashboard.
How is Enterprise priced?
