AWS MediaConnect SRT Output: Caller vs Listener Setup (2026)

You have a MediaConnect flow and want it on SRT Cloud. One caller output does it. Here's the walkthrough. Our side first: your stream listens on its input port. Note the address, port, and passphrase. In the console, open your flow. Outputs, add output. Type standard, protocol SRT caller. That pushes to us. Destination is your input address and port. Minimum latency defaults to 2000 ms. Drop it to 250. Stream ID is optional, but SRT Caller does expose it. Set it to main, and our input keys on that. The speed bump: no passphrase field. Encryption means a secret in Secrets Manager plus a role. Build once. Start the flow. Monitoring shows the input live. Effective latency settles at the larger side. Feed's in.
