1:10 Watch on YouTube

About this tutorial

Time to send your first feed. In SRT Cloud, every input ships with at least one taker — the destination that receives a copy — so your stream always has somewhere to go. Theo walks you through creating a stream, adding your first taker, getting your srt:// input address, and going live, all in about a minute.

Your account is live, so let's create your first stream. In SRT Cloud every input ships with at least one taker, so your feed always has somewhere to go. Open the Streams page and hit Add Stream. This is where every feed you send into SRT Cloud lives. Give your stream a name, I'll call mine Main Feed, and pick the region closest to your source. Now add your first taker, the destination that gets a copy. Pick caller mode, point it at your taker's address and port, and set an optional passphrase. Create the stream, and you get your srt input address plus your first taker, ready to receive. Copy the address into your encoder. Hit Start, and you're live. One feed in, your first bit-exact copy out to your taker. That's it. Stream created, taker connected, feed live. You're distributing. See you in the next one.
