Transcoding proof of concept terms
Version 2026-10-25.1
These terms apply to the transcoding proof of concept (the “PoC”) of SRT Cloud, sold by Amtecco BV, Uitbreidingstraat 60, 2600 Antwerp, Belgium, enterprise number 0748.398.550 (VAT BE0748398550) (“we”). Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply; where they differ, these terms prevail for the PoC.
1. What you buy
- A one-off allowance of the encoding hours you choose (1 to 4 on this website, or the hours of an offer we make you), to use within 7 calendar days from payment unless the offer says otherwise.
- One SRT input, progressive (2160p, 1080p, 720p, 576p or 480p), encoded in one location of your choice.
- Up to 3 versions from the PoC formats (HD and SD in H.264, HEVC 1080p, mobile 360p, audio only), and up to 3 SRT copies per version, 6 in all.
- 4K, MPEG-2, encoding in two regions and further versions or copies are not part of the PoC.
2. How hours are counted
- Hours count only while encoding runs, from the moment the encoder starts until you stop it, the way our encoding provider bills it: each start counts at least 10 minutes, then each minute begun. You can start encoding up to 6 times an hour. Your console shows every run, what it counted and the hours left.
- If encoding stops because of a problem on our side, that run counts only the minutes it really ran.
- Encoding stops on its own when the hours are used, when the 7 days are over, and after 10 minutes without a feed reaching your input.
- The PoC ends at the hour limit or at the end of the 7 days, whichever comes first. There is nothing to cancel.
3. Price and payment
- The PoC costs a one-off setup of €49 plus €19 per encoding hour you choose, excluding VAT (or the price of an offer we make you), paid in full by card before it starts. VAT is added where it applies; EU businesses with a valid VAT number are invoiced under the reverse charge.
- You receive an invoice by email.
- The PoC is a one-off purchase of a fixed allowance and is not refundable. Unused hours or days are not carried over, credited or paid out.
4. Places and the waiting list
We run a limited number of PoCs at once. When every place is in use you can join a waiting list: places are offered in the order people joined, and a place offered to you is held for 24 hours. A checkout in progress holds a place for 60 minutes.
5. Business customers only
The PoC is sold to businesses for business purposes only, not to consumers. There is one PoC per company in any 12 months.
6. Your feed and acceptable use
- You confirm you have the rights to the content you send and to have it delivered to your takers.
- We may stop a PoC that is used in breach of our Terms of Service, or that harms the Service or other customers.
- A PoC is for evaluation. It has no service-level commitment; production use needs a contract.
7. After the PoC
Encoding resources are removed when the PoC ends. Your setup (versions and takers) stays in your console for 30 days so it can become your contract setup, and is then deleted. We never record or keep your video.
8. Help
Questions go to our engineers from the questions box in your PoC console.
